Promoting good nutrition and best behavioral practices

A select group from Japan’s Saipan Kyushoku Project visited Saipan recently to work with the Public School System on a project that encourages healthy living, with a primary focus on food education and behavioral practices. On Oct. 21-22, members of the Saipan Kyushoku Project, which is part of the University Network for Global Leadership Development, conducted an on-site visit, observation, and interviews with several public schools. The visiting group consisted of project manager Shinya Murata, supervisor Keiji Hata, Ehime University student and team leader Haruna Kyogoku, Ehime University student and sub-leader Arisa Yatsuzuka, Ehime University student Kasuke Matsuoka, and Okayama University of Science student Miyu Kitagawa. On Oct. 22, they met with Commissioner of Education Dr. Lawrence F. Camacho to discuss and present their findings.
